Abrams at DH Again in Loss

The Nats lost to the Rockies 3-1 on Tuesday night in Navy Yard.  Al & Mark note that the team's complete inability to mount a late inning comeback as they are an astonishing 1-55 when they are trailing after the 7th inning.

(09:00) Daylen Lile slugged his 17th homer to account for the lone run.  Lile's OPS is now up to .715 as he tries to approach last year's total of .845.

(14:00) CJ Abrams DHed again on Tuesday night as it has been almost two weeks since the announcement was made that he will be moved to 2B.

(17:00) The Rockies plated their 3rd run on a wild pitch that included obstruction on Brady House while at 3B.

(20:00) Andrew Alvarez pitched into the 5th as he allowed three runs and struck out six.

(25:00) Brad Lord lasted over two frames and Blake Butera said that they will no longer try to make Lord a starter.

(31:00) It seems like the line is becoming even fuzzier between starters and relievers on this organization.

(35:00) Trevor Williams became the 3rd veteran pitcher to have been DFA'd this month.
