Another 10th Inning Win

The Nats emerged victorious in another extra inning affair this weekend vs. the White Sox.  Mark (From Chicago) & Al recap Sunday's 2-1 triumph; where the Nationals took the series rubber match.

(04:00) Washington went 9-8 in this stretch of 17 games in 17 days.  As they sit at 13-16, it feels like the team culture is at a better place all things considered.

(07:05) Foster Griffin tossed seven shutout innings and he closes his April with a very impressive 2.67 ERA.  Griffin pitched in Japan for the past three seasons for the Yomiuri Giants.

(15:10) Paxton Schultz notched the first save of his career immediately after getting called back from AAA.  Clayton Beeter has been placed on the IL due to right forearm tightness.

(22:00) Jose Tena pinch- hit for Jacob Young ; even though the Nationals were already up 1-0.  Tena responded with a solo homer to give his squad some insurance.

(26:40) Next game is Tuesday at the Mets after a much needed off day. Will we get an Opener for Zack Littell on Tuesday?

(28:15) Some symmetry between the bizarre firing of the Red Sox staff and what happened to the firings on South Capitol Street last early July.
